Job description

PainterLocation: Fort Madison IADuration: 0-12+ Months (Possible Extension Depending On Performance)Shift: 2nd Shift (M-F, 2:10pm - 10:40pm)Pay Rate: $21.00/Hour on W2.Duties:Perform all blade preparations prior to the paint application process which include but are not limited to:Sandblasting of bladeSanding of green bladeSanding of repaired areas in preparation of fillingRough filling of blade repairs, filters, and other areasGeometric sanding of rough fill to blade geometryFine filling of blade-to-blade geometryPaint and paint repair of blade.Application of final finishing components to blade standards.Receive and perform work assignments, oral and/or written and follow work instructions. Operate blade handling equipment as needed. Document painting application as required. Set up, operate, and maintain a variety of equipment to assemble, inspect, and evaluate parts per accepted Siemens or industry standards. Set up, operate, and maintain painting application equipment per work instructions. Perform visual inspections as required. Work with or under the direction of managers and engineers. Follow all applicable specifications and procedures regarding the performance of shop operations. Use all required safety equipment and follow established safety procedures. Provide technical direction to other employees as required. Keep work areas in a clean and orderly condition. Support and apply team concepts in daily activities.Qualifications:High School Diploma or equivalent Ability to use hand & power tools safely. Previous paint application experience preferred. The employee must certify on the 3C requirements for filling and sanding to specifications prior to paint. Within the qualifying period, the employee must complete the required equipment specific training requirements and process applications. Acquire forklift and crane license. Ability to read, write and understand metric measuring system. Able to lift 50 lbs. unassisted on a regular basis Sit, stand, bend & kneel for 8 or more hours/day Available for overtime for up to 12 -hour days and on off days
