With operations across the U.S. and globally, we are committed to safety, innovation, and quality while building products our customers depend on every day.What a day in the life of a Painter at REV looks like:Clean parts with wax and grease remover and inspect prior to paintingPrep product for final paintMix coatings with reducer and catalyst at correct mixtures, using color mixture equipmentSpray primers/Sealer with gravity feed primer spray gunApply color and clear coating with spray equipment to meet coverage and gloss standardsCheck wet film mil thickness with wet mill gaugeCheck dry film thickness with a dry film gaugeMust have the ability to correct errors in applicationsMaintain spray equipment to meet operational standards but not including repair of equipmentMaintain paint booth cleanliness and filter changes and sign log sheetsEnsure that hazardous waste that is handled is placed in proper containersKnow spill response procedures and evacuation planKeep work area clean and organizedRequired education, skills, and experiences to be successful:Preferred 1–2-year experience in automotive paintingPreferred 1-2 years vocational educationAbility to run dual action sanders, grinders, and miscellaneous hand toolsMust have full knowledge of quality requirements to produce acceptable finish paintAbility to communicate professionally and follow directionsAbility to work in a team environmentAbility to learn how to mix primers and other paint productsMust have general knowledge of OSHA and EPA standardsMust have knowledge of operation of paint gun and know how to disassemble/assemble to clean and maintain optimal performance.Physical demands on this role:Frequent bending, stooping, squatting, and climbing up and down ladders and scaffoldingAbility to regularly lift and move 40 lbs. without assistanceAbility to push/pull carts and racks in and out of boothsAbility to work with arms above headAbility to work from ladders or scaffoldingAbility to operate and understand the operation of all protective safety equipment in the area.Ability to work in non-temperature-controlled environmentsAbility to work in 95 plus degree temperaturesMust pass a spirometer test and can use a respirator.What makes REV unique:Medical, dental and vision benefits start on day oneMilitary-friendly employerEducation ReimbursementCareer Development OpportunitiesOpportunities to relocate to other REV locationsTerex Corporation is committed to a policy of equal employment opportunity.
