Job description
Painter III
The Painter III is a highly skilled industrial coatings technician capable of performing all blasting and painting operations independently and to certified quality standards. This role requires expert-level knowledge of all coating systems used.
Responsibilities & Duties
· Perform advanced surface preparation using grit-blasting equipment, ensuring proper profile and cleanliness standards are met.
Apply a variety of industrial coatings, including Inorganic Zinc, Epoxies, and High-Temp coatings, following manufacturer data sheets and internal procedures.
Mix coatings accurately, including selecting the correct thinners, determining proper mix ratios, and adjusting viscosity as needed.
Operate and maintain spray equipment such as pressure pots, spray guns, and related tools with minimal guidance.
Inspect surfaces and applied coatings for defects, thickness, and overall quality, making adjustments as needed.
Expert understanding of industrial coating systems, including curing characteristics, environmental limitations and application techniques.
All other duties assigned.

Requirements (Knowledge, Skills & Abilities)
Must pass Pulmonary Function Test (PFT)
Must be able to wear respirator
Ability to pass NACE Paint Test (or equivalent certification), demonstrating advanced coating application competency.
Full proficiency with Inorganic Zinc, Epoxy, and High-Temperature coatings.
Education And Experience (Required Levels)
High School Diploma or Equivalent.
5 + years of industrial painting or blasting experience
