Job description
PainterUnder the supervision of the Engineering Manager, the Painter will use color theory principles to match shades, follow written and verbal instructions, and use a variety of tools to paint surfaces. In this role you will complete minor repairs and select the correct paints and primers.This role will pay an hourly rate of $19.00.Benefits for part-time roles: 401(k) savings plan and 401(k) matching.This position will remain open until December 25, 2026.ResponsibilitiesSelect the correct tools and paints for individual project assignments.Prepare walls and other surfaces for painting.Mix and apply paints, varnishes, and sealants in a way that creates a lasting finish.Cover exposed objects and surfaces.Maintain a clean and organized work environment.Use fillers such as putty and plaster to repair cracks.Follow the preventive maintenance program, energy management program, and standard operating procedures for all machinery and equipment.Promote a safe working environment for all employees by following the life safety and emergency program as needed.Respond to routine, precautionary, and emergency alarms from building automation and life safety systems.Maintains walls (interior and exterior) of the entire complex, including all drywall repairs, sanding, and repainting.Maintain inventory of paint and supplies.Frequent bending, carrying, moving, climbing, working from various heights, lifting heavy objects, sitting, exposure to moderate-to-loud noises, and extensive walking through the building.QualificationsHigh school diploma or G.E.D.2 years of basic construction knowledge, including prepping and painting residential or commercial spaces.Experience in stadiums, arenas, and/or convention centers is preferred.Ability to tape and float is preferred.Ability to read and comprehend blueprints, drawings, and other related materials.Ability to follow and adhere to all safety precautions, building codes, rules, regulations, risk management, and emergency procedures.Ability to follow oral and written instructions and communicate effectively with others in both oral and written form.Ability to work independently, exercising judgment and initiative.Must be able to work a flexible schedule inclusive of weekends, nights, and holidays required.
