Painter / Masker – General LaborSchedule: Monday–Friday1st Shift: 6:00 AM – 2:30 PM2nd Shift: 2:30 PM – 11:00 PMPay Rate: $15.00 – $18.00 per hour (based on experience)Employment Type: Full-TimePosition SummaryThe Painter / Masker – General Labor position is responsible for preparing, masking, and painting parts according to shop work orders, specifications, and quality standards. This role supports production by ensuring surfaces are properly prepared, painted, and protected while maintaining safety, accuracy, and efficiency.Essential Duties and ResponsibilitiesPainter ResponsibilitiesInspect parts and evaluate required painting details prior to applicationSelect and prepare the correct paint based on shop paperwork, drawings, and technical specificationsMix paints according to supplied instructions and Technical Data Sheets (TDS)Prepare surfaces by cleaning and performing minor sanding as requiredApply paint to various surfaces and metals using spray guns or other approved paint methodsEnsure painted parts meet quality and finish standardsManage time effectively to complete assigned tasks within specified production timelinesWork collaboratively with team members to coordinate workflow and meet production goalsMasker / General Labor ResponsibilitiesMask and shield surfaces of parts that do not require painting or processingProcess parts according to shop work orders, drawings, and applicable specificationsInspect incoming parts for damage, scratches, or defects and report issues as neededFollow supervisor instructions and comply with assigned tasks and prioritiesAccurately complete work orders and all required documentationSafely handle and manage hazardous materials in compliance with state and federal regulationsPerform other duties as assignedQualifications & SkillsPrevious experience in painting, masking, or manufacturing preferredAbility to read and follow work orders, drawings, and specificationsKnowledge of spray painting equipment and surface preparation techniquesStrong attention to detail and qualityAbility to work independently and as part of a teamDependable, punctual, and safety-consciousPhysical RequirementsAbility to stand for extended periodsAbility to bend, reach, lift, and carry materials as requiredAbility to work in a production or manufacturing environment
