Job description
Palletizer And Strapper OperatorPosition Summary: Operate the Palletizer and Strapper equipment while performing quality checks of the finished goods to produce highest quality cans at the lowest possible costs.Essential Functions:Operate Palletizer and Strapper equipment.Perform visual check of finished goods.Remove, damaged and/or suspect finished goods from palletizer and report same to Supervision, Production Line Operator and Quality Inspector.Utilize proper packaging materials (Chipboard, top frames and pallets)Verify and place proper pallet tags on finished goods.Keeps equipment and all areas safe, clean, and organized through proper housekeepingFollow all required environmental, health and safety proceduresPerforms other related duties as requiredMust have the ability to lift up to fifty (50) pounds on occasion and regularly stand, reach, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl.Skills and Qualifications:6 months of experience in a manufacturing setting (high-speed manufacturing is preferred).Exhibit safety and quality as their top prioritiesEffective record keeping skills and the ability to focus on details.Proven ability to effectively manage multiple projects/tasks at the same time.Effective and proven communication skills (both written and verbal) working in a team environment.Education:High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED) preferred.Must be able to stand continuously for more than 8+ hours per shift.Must be able to walk, lift/carry up to 50 lbs on occasion.Must be about to stand, reach, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl.Must be able to twist at the waist and bend repetitively.This position may also require climbing or balancingBenefits:Fully funded employer paid coverage for employee includes:Medical/Dental/Vision/Prescription/Life InsuranceCompany funded pension planPaid HolidaysDisability InsuranceAs part of our Total Safety Culture, CROWN is committed to the safety, health and well-being of our employees and their families.
