About the Employer
The Cypress School District provides a challenging educational program for pre-kindergarten through sixth grade in the western portion of Orange County, in the cities of Cypress and parts of Buena Park and La Palma. Job Summary
Under the supervision of the principal, the direction of certificated personnel, and in collaboration with support staff, assists all students as directed, with a focus on positive behavior intervention; implements specialized strategies to attain specific IEP/504 goals; assists teachers with routine clerical and non-instructional duties; and does other related work as assigned.
Requirements / Qualifications
Letter of Introduction (addressed to Ms. Tracy Mouren-Laurens, Executive Director, Human Resources/Induction)
Letter(s) of Recommendation (two current with signatures)
Paraprofessional Testing (applicant must attach documentation of meeting ESSA Paraprofessional requirements as listed in the Education Section (High school diploma or the equivalent, and two years of college (48 units), or A. A. degree (or higher), or passing CBEST results) OR will be asked to take an examination to demonstrate knowledge of and the ability to assist in instructing reading, writing, and mathematics.)
Proof of HS Graduation (Acceptable formats: high school diploma or equivalent; transcripts (must show name and graduation date). If you have a foreign high school diploma, please complete a Foreign High School Diploma Certification form, which can be found on the right under "Links Related To This Job.")
