While this role supports healthcare-related matters, healthcare experience is not required. The firm recognizes that strong litigation skills are highly transferable and welcomes candidates with experience in federal and state court litigation, arbitration, discovery, and trial preparation. One of the primary distinctions in the healthcare practice involves filings and proceedings before administrative agencies, including the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services (HHS). The firm is committed to training a talented litigation paralegal on these agency-specific processes, making this an ideal opportunity for someone looking to broaden their expertise while continuing to work on sophisticated, high-stakes matters.

Job Overview:

You will play an integral role in supporting complex litigation matters from inception through trial, partnering closely with attorneys and clients to drive cases forward efficiently and effectively. Key responsibilities include:

Managing all phases of litigation, arbitration, and administrative proceedings

Drafting and preparing pleadings, motions, discovery requests, responses, and other case-related documents

Organizing and maintaining case files, discovery materials, exhibits, transcripts, and trial notebooks

Coordinating filings in federal and state courts, as well as administrative agencies

Assisting with witness preparation, expert witness coordination, and trial logistics

Summarizing depositions, testimony, and transcripts and conducting factual investigations

Utilizing litigation support and trial presentation technology to prepare for hearings and trial

Qualifications:

At least 3 years of litigation paralegal experience in a law firm environment

Strong experience handling federal and state court matters, discovery, and trial preparation

Familiarity with arbitration proceedings and complex case management

Proficiency with litigation support and trial presentation software, including TrialDirector or comparable platforms

Excellent organizational, communication, and project-management skills

Ability to work independently while managing multiple deadlines in a fast-paced practice

Healthcare litigation experience is a plus, but not required

Willingness to travel in support of hearings, witness interviews, and trial proceedings as needed
