Paralegal – VA Office of General Counsel, Procurement Law Group
Location: Chicago (Hines) Illinois

The VA Office of General Counsel (OGC) is seeking a high‑performing Paralegal to join our Procurement Law Group, where your work directly supports attorneys responsible for protecting the interests of the Department of Veterans Affairs and the Veterans we serve.
This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to a legal practice central to VA operations, including:
Government supply and service contracts
Sharing Agreements under 38 U.S.C. § 8153
Bid protest litigation
Information Technology (IT) contracting
Debarment and suspension actions
As a Paralegal on our team, you will support Contract Law Litigation Counsel and help advance VA’s mission by delivering high‑quality legal research, document preparation, case management, and administrative support in fast‑moving, high‑impact matters.
Our Paralegal positions start at GS‑7, GS‑9, or GS‑11, depending on qualifications and experience.
The role offers promotion potential to GS‑11 after one or two years of fully successful performance.
