Job description
Support Teacher
BASIC FUNCTION: Under the supervision of an assigned certificated teacher in collaboration with the director of special education and student services provides support teachers in implementing instruction to individuals or groups of students with special education services in both the special education setting and general education setting; assist the teacher in meeting the educational needs of students to excel in reading, writing and math; monitor and report student progress regarding behavior and performance in a reasonable, timely manner to assist students to achieve their personal best; perform a variety of clerical duties as assigned.
