Job description
Status: Full-Time, (35 Hours Per Week)
nFLSA Status: Non-Exempt
nReports To: Parent Empowerment Program Supervisor
nDegree: Bachelor’s in Social Work or related field
nExperience: 1-year minimum experience working with Families and Children
nWage: $21.00 per hour
nAGENCY REQUIREMENTS:
nnKnowledge of child development, group work, and child welfare
nValid NYS Driver's License
nReliable transportation during work hours
n nAGENCY EXPECTATIONS:
nnDemonstrates knowledge of the program, missions, and services of Pinnacle Community Services, Inc., (PCS)
nAttends and participates in appropriate Agency staff trainings and meetings
nAdvocates for cultural diversity/sensitivity as appropriate
nReports all suspected incidences of child abuse/neglect to NYS Hotline with Supervisory approval
nExperience and knowledge on the use of computers, cell phones, and a broad understanding of using the Internet and e-mail in the workplace
n nJOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
nnAttends regular, scheduled supervision with Program Supervisor
nProvides ongoing service planning for families with Supervisor support
nProvides parents with supportive engagement and evidence-based curriculum and provides supervised visitation services, as appropriate
nProvides face to face services
nCollaborates with Niagara County Department of Social Services on shared caseload
nMaintains continuous documentation on families progress
nMaintains confidential record keeping
nProvides educational parenting groups
nProvides families with referrals to other service providers as needed
nTransports clients on occasion, as directed by Supervisor
nPresents PCS Agency and Program Services to the community at large
nAttends continuous training throughout employment
nWorks in collaboration with Niagara County Department of Social Services, Child Welfare in providing families services that supports permanency for the child(ren) through prevention, reunification, or out of home placement
nAttend service planning review meeting in support of families and progress made with families' parenting education and or supervised visitations
nPerforms other duties as assigned by Administration
