Job description
Natural Areas AttendantHigh school diploma or GED. Two years of experience in the maintenance and/or landscaping of natural areas is required. Must obtain a Pesticide Applicator License during the probationary period. Must possess a valid Florida Driver's License. Proficiency with computers and experience with native and invasive plant species is preferred.This supervisory role involves approximately 80% fieldwork and 20% office/administrative duties. The incumbent will lead a team of Natural Areas Attendants, ensuring that work in the natural areas is completed efficiently and to high standards. The incumbent will work with chemical herbicides and the ability to recognize exotic and invasive plants. This position reports to the Natural Areas Management office located at 22200 SW 137 Avenue, Miami, FL 33170. Work hours are from 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM.
