Job description
Automotive MachinistThe Automotive Machinist is responsible for completing work requested by customers in a timely and cost effective manner and to the specification given by the customer; may also perform miscellaneous duties as requested by the machine shop manager or store manager.Job Duties:Recondition various parts such as heads and connecting rods, assisting with or performing crank, valve and flywheel grinding and the installation of valve seats, helicoils, sleeves and valve guides as requested by the customerOperate various other shop machines as needed such as drills, lathes, mills and other shop had tools.Perform miscellaneous shop tasks such as hydraulic hose repairsAssist other team members as needed and works with other store team members towards the successful operation of the store and completions of store sales quotas and goalsMinimum Qualifications:Minimum of one year of post-secondary technical training in Automotive MachiningMinimum of 2 years of automotive machining experienceAverage verbal and written communication skillsAbility to effectively work with individuals at all levels including management, customers, vendors and co-workersAbility to work independentlyStrong organizational skillsFamiliar with store and shop operating proceduresValid driver's license and acceptable driving recordBenefits Include:401(k) with Company MatchProfit SharingSafe and Sick TimeEmployee Discount ProgramEmployee Assistance Program (EAP)ACA Medical for a regular schedule of 30 hours per week
