Job description
Role Overview: The CT Scan Technologist is responsible for producing high-quality CT images and delivering exceptional patient care. They operate imaging equipment, interpret normal and abnormal findings, and ensure patient safety and comfort.
Key Responsibilities
Perform diagnostic CT procedures, adhering to department protocols and safety standards.
Operate power injector systems and manage imaging software such as HIS, RIS, and PACS.
Organize and review patient information, including prior images and reports, for accurate interpretation.
Explain procedures to patients, obtain signatures, and assist throughout the imaging process.
Identify patients with two identifiers and provide comprehensive care tailored to patient age and condition.
Maintain equipment functionality, document malfunctions, and manage supplies.
Recognize and report abnormal images to radiologists or supervisors.
Qualifications & Skills
Completion of an approved Radiologic Technology Program.
ARRT certification in Radiology, with CT registration within one year.
Licensed as a Certified Radiologic Technologist in Florida.
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from recognized organizations.
Preferred minimum of one year of CT technologist experience.
Basic computer skills for data entry and documentation.
