Dental AssistantWebster Dental Care is looking for our next Dental Assistant who:Knows the drill (pun intended) – Experience with dental instruments, material, assisting in procedures, and making sure everything's squeaky clean!Has a heart as big as their smile – Friendly, empathetic, and ready to put a patient at ease (even if they're nervous about the dentist).Is a team player – Helping out wherever needed, whether it's sterilizing instruments, prepping for a procedure, or answering the phone with your best "hello!"In return, we offer:Competitive pay, benefits, and a work environment that's 10/10A fun, energetic team who knows how to work hard AND have funOpportunity for growth – Learn all the dental tricks and skills and level up in your career!If you're ready to make some smiles brighter and assist in the best way possible, we want YOU on our team!Role and ResponsibilitiesThe Dental Assistant (DA) will be expected to assist the office as a whole, but primarily provide hands-on support to Dentists (and Hygienists as needed) to complete the necessary clinical procedures so our patients are efficiently cared for.Duties include, but are not limited to:Four-handed dentistry with standard general dental proceduresTaking necessary diagnostics (EXAMPLE: Digital x-rays, impressions, IO photos, etc)Provide comfort, compassion, and empathy to patients to help ease any dental anxietyBe able to give verbal post operative instruction to patients as neededApply diagnosed treatment into patients chart for easy and accurate treatment presentationMaintaining operatories to be stocked and clean at all timesMaintenance of dental equipmentHelping patients understand the value of their oral health and help them schedule appointmentsSterilizationFollow and maintain OSHA standardsRequirementsH.S. Diploma or equivalentDental assisting experience & knowledge of dental terminologyKnowledge of health and safety regulations (e.g., HIPAA, OSHA)Have a flexible scheduleMust be able to communicate effectivelyPreferred Qualifications/Skills:Knowledge of EaflesoftExperience in periodontics, orthodontia, and pediatric dentistryPolishing/sealant certifiedAdmin knowledge/experienceAble to read an insurance benefit breakdown - Understanding of insurance clauses, frequencies and limitationsCompensation is based off experience.
