About the role
The Finance Assistant is an entry-level, part-time position responsible for supporting the day-to-day financial and administrative operations of the Finance Team. This includes assisting with accounts payable/receivable, data entry, record keeping, and reporting, while ensuring accuracy and compliance with internal and external requirements. This role offers the opportunity to grow into a full-time position within approximately six months.
What you'll do
Reconcile Regional Center billing records against service delivery documentation, resolving discrepancies and maintaining audit-ready files
Process vendor invoices and employee expense reports accurately and on schedule, verifying coding, approvals, and supporting documentation
Review bi-weekly payroll journal entries in Rippling for accuracy prior to posting, partnering with HR and Payroll to resolve discrepancies
Support month-end close by preparing monthly account reconciliations in QuickBooks Online (QBO) and assisting with financial reporting
Track, reconcile, and replenish petty cash, maintaining accurate logs and receipts for audit purposes
Act as a liaison between the Finance Team and other departments regarding financial administrative needs
Help draft internal communications and financial summaries as requested
Support interdepartmental coordination on finance-related tasks and special projects
Qualifications Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or related field preferred
1+ years of experience in a finance, accounting, or administrative support role preferred
Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and record keeping
Proactive and solution-oriented, with strong organizational skills
Comfortable balancing multiple priorities and meeting deadlines
Proficient in Google Workspace or Microsoft Office; experience with accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks) is a plus

The pay range for this role is:
20 - 25 USD per hour (Corporate)
