nPosition Summary
nThe Leasing Consultant is responsible for engaging prospective residents, showcasing available apartments, and guiding applicants through the leasing process. This role ensures an exceptional customer experience by identifying resident needs, presenting community amenities, and facilitating smooth move-in transitions. The Leasing Consultant also supports ongoing occupancy goals through proactive marketing and property presentation.
nKey Responsibilities
nnGreet prospective residents, assess housing needs, and qualify applicants based on established criteria.
nConduct property tours, highlighting apartments features, layouts, and community amenities.
nProvide accurate information about the local area, including schools, shopping, recreation, and transportation.
nPrepare and process lease agreements, collect deposits, and ensure all documentation is complete.
nMonitor property conditions, reporting maintenance needs, and coordinating necessary repairs.
nMaintain updated listings of available units and create engaging advertisements to promote vacancies.
nParticipate in regular team meetings and training sessions to support personal and professional development.
n nQualifications
nnHigh school diploma or equivalent; prior leasing or customer service experience preferred.
nStrong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport quickly.
nProficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Office 365) and property management software such as Yardi.
nBasic math skills, including the ability to calculate rates, ratios, and percentages.
nAbility to adapt to changing priorities and manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
nWillingness to work on-site, including walking varied terrain, climbing stairs, and inspecting units in all weather conditions.
nMust have tax credit experience
n nCompensation & Benefits
nnCompetitive wage based on experience.
nThis position is eligible for property‑specific incentive programs. Bonus structures vary by ownership group and may include occupancy‑based incentives, lease‑up bonuses, financial performance bonuses, or annual performance‑based awards. Eligibility and bonus criteria are determined by the ownership group of the assigned property.
nPaid sick leave.
nDental and vision-effective the 1st of the month after 60 days (Guardian).
