Haddon Heights School District Part Time Lunch And Recess MonitorsHaddon Heights School District Haddon Heights, NJ 08035 Part Time Lunch and Recess Monitors 2 hours per day/10 hours per week Each day school is in session from 11:00am to 1:00pm Salary $20 to $22 per hourQualifications: Good physical health and ability to perform assigned duties Demonstrated ability to work successfully with children and adults Required criminal history background check and proof of U.S. citizenship or legal resident alien statusPrimary Functions: To supervise the lunchroom and recess activities under the direction of the building principal and assigned teaching staffMajor Duties and Responsibilities: Supervises students during their lunch period in the cafeteria and during recess. Maintains a system for orderly food purchase by students, food waste disposal, and trays and utensils return. Ensures that students are seated in assigned areas. Circulates among the tables during mealtime so as to be available to students who need help or to resolve any minor problems that arise. Informs principal of any serious infractions of discipline rules by students. Ensures the cleanliness of tables and surrounding areas, assisting in cleaning the tables and floors at the end of lunch service. Organizes groups for orderly dismissal from the cafeteria. Communicates with students in a calm manner, maintaining established school rules. Ensures safe playground activities and interactions among students, circulating among the students during recess. Performs other related duties as assigned.Minimum Requirements: NJ Teacher or Substitute Certificate or A passing score of 456 or higher on the ParaPro Assessment
