Job description
Maintenance TechnicianPerform general maintenance and repair of building structures and assist with maintenance of grounds.Perform general upkeep with minimal supervision to ensure proper performance and safety of district vehicles. Perform assigned work following established policies and procedures.Special Knowledge/SkillsAbility to follow verbal and written instructions and the ability to read and interpret blueprints, diagrams, schematics, and written reference material such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manualsAbility to communicate effectively (verbally)Ability to operate hand and power toolsAbility to work independentlyAbility to pass U.S. Department of Transportation alcohol and drug tests and physical examAbility to operate vehicleKnowledge of basic construction and routine maintenance and repair procedures
