Part-Time Payroll Specialist / Payroll AnalystLooking for a part-time payroll opportunity where your experience can make an immediate impact? We’re looking for an experienced Payroll Specialist / Payroll Analyst to join the team on a part-time contract basis and provide critical support during a high-volume period.This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys hands-on payroll work, complex calculations, and working with Kronos, UKG or Ultipro.Why You’ll Want to Consider This RolePart-time schedule with predictable weekly hoursMonday and Tuesday required, either Wednesday OR Thursday plus 4 hours on FridayFlexible start times within agreed-upon parametersOpportunity to put your payroll expertise to work immediatelyHands-on exposure to complex payroll, timekeeping, reporting, and reconciliationCollaborative environment working with Payroll, HR, Finance, and internal teamsContract opportunity ideal for an experienced payroll professional looking for part-time workWhat You’ll Be DoingProcess payroll for hourly and salaried employees accurately and on time.Review and reconcile payroll information, including overtime, shift differentials, bonuses, deductions, and pay adjustments.Audit timekeeping records and investigate discrepancies involving hours, rates, differential pay, and other earnings.Ensure payroll practices meet company policies and applicable wage and hour requirements.Research and resolve payroll discrepancies while responding to employee and management questions.Assist with payroll reporting, reconciliations, audits, tax and deduction reviews, and payroll accounting activities.Maintain accurate payroll records and supporting documentation.Partner with HR, Finance, and other internal teams to meet payroll deadlines.Use payroll and timekeeping systems along with Microsoft Excel for data entry, analysis, reconciliation, and reporting.Provide additional payroll team coverage during this high-volume contract period.Support payroll projects and process improvements that increase accuracy and efficiency.What We’re Looking ForProven payroll processing experience in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.Strong working knowledge of payroll procedures, compliance, and wage and hour practices.Experience calculating overtime, shift differentials, and other complex pay elements.Strong attention to detail and the ability to work accurately with sensitive payroll information.Ability to independently prioritize work and meet strict payroll deadlines.Strong problem-solving skills with experience researching and correcting payroll discrepancies.Experience with timekeeping/time and attendance systems such as Kronos.Experience with payroll platforms such as Kronos, UKG or Ultipro.Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, including formulas and pivot tables.Strong communication and customer service skills when working with employees and internal stakeholders.Familiarity with payroll taxes, deductions, payroll accounting, audits, and reconciliations.Additional Experience That Will Help You Stand OutPayroll experience supporting multiple shifts and varying pay rates.Experience working with complex timekeeping and attendance data.Experience with ADP Workforce Now, Kronos, PeopleSoft, SAP, or Oracle.Payroll reporting and data analysis experience.Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.Exposure to HR processes involving payroll, timekeeping, and employee data.Experience with payroll tax processing and payroll accounting.Work Schedule & EnvironmentThis is a part-time contract position supporting the payroll team during a high-volume period.Schedule:Monday: RequiredTuesday: RequiredWednesday OR Thursday: One Day RequiredFriday: 4 hoursStart times: Flexible within agreed-upon parametersYou’ll work in a professional office or hybrid environment using payroll systems, time and attendance technology, and Microsoft Excel.
