Job description
PPAC Production AssistantMetropolitan School District of Pike TownshipJob ResponsibilitiesServes as the Technical Director for rental events, supervising and/or performing the functions of audio, visual, video, stage, and other production elements according to rental agreementsOversees and assists with load-in and set-up of all technical and stage equipment for rental eventsRemains onsite following rental events until renters have removed all equipment and vacated the facilityUtilizes best practices for meeting production requirements while ensuring safety and staying within budget limitations; and for the purpose of providing technical arts training for Pike studentsOperates specialized control programs for theatrical lighting instruments, analog and digital sound reproductions systems, counterweight fly rail system, lifts, and a variety of power tools (e.g. table, band, radial arm and compound miter saws; drills, grinders) ensuring safe operationMaintains inventory and reporting of equipment usage for each eventSupervises and monitors the work of contracted staff and student assistants for the purpose of providing technical education in a safe environmentPPAC Production Assistant will be evaluated by the PPAC Technical Director or PPAC CoordinatorJob ClassificationNon-exemptPart-time, hourlyScheduled on a monthly basisPPAC Front of House Assistant will report to and be evaluated by the PPAC Coordinator
