\ N The Role at a glance: \ N We are looking to add an experienced Part-Time Registered Dietitian to our healthcare team in Meadowbrook, PA . As a Registered Dietitian, you will have the opportunity to identify and assess the nutritional needs of assigned patients/residents, initiate interventions to achieve and/or maintain individuals nutritional status, and enhance quality of life consistent with patient’s/resident’s goals. *Typically scheduled 24 hours per week.*
\ N What you'll be doing: \ N Providing nutritional expertise to the health care team and educating patients/residents, staff, or consultants.
\ N Following the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics’ standards of practice and facility regulatory requirements.
\ N Interacting with other departments in setting up procedures and policies, and in problem solving as it relates to dining service and nutrition.
\ N Actively participating in the development, review, and revision of continuous quality improvement programs.
\ N Whatwe're looking for: \ N Must-haves:
\ N Bachelor’s degree in nutrition (Prior to 2024) or related field
\ N Master's degreein Nutrition or related field.
\ N Passed a national examination administered by the Commission on Dietetic Registration (CDR) or meets the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics requirements for eligibility.
\ N Completes 75 hours of continuing education hours every five years, in accordance with the CDR, utilizing the professional portfolio development process.
\ N Licensed or certified, per state requirements.
\ N Knowledge of regulationstandards specific to comprehensive assessments, care planning, and residents’ rights.
\ N Ability to teach others, specifically pertaining to nutrition and dietetics.
\ N Nice-to-haves:
\ N Experience working in healthcare or long-term care.
