Part Time HelperLocation: Jerry's Enterprises, Inc. CommissaryReports to: Sanitation LeadClassification: 22 Part Time HelperRange of Pay: Progressive scale up to $18.00 hour / based on experienceHours: Sunday – Saturday, varied hoursPrimary objective: To provide support in maintaining a clean and well-maintained facility to ensure proper production, packaging and distribution conditions.Nature and scope: Primary emphasis in this position is on ensuring safe and clean facility conditions by mopping, sweeping, scrubbing, and pulling cardboard. Primary learning challenge is proper use of equipment and product location. This position requires on-going heavy lifting and pushing, walking, use of cleaning equipment, exposure to outside conditions and wet surfaces, social skills/verbal interaction and judgment/decision making. Position functions and work hours may vary according to business needs. Assignments and work direction provided by Sanitation Lead or person in charge.Qualifications:Must be self-directed and able to prioritize projectsBasic maintenance skills for sanitation equipment preferredReliable, punctual, honest and dependableMaintain proper floor conditions:Always maintain a clean and dry facility floorAnswer all clean up requests promptlyClean up messes and spills promptly and thoroughlyUse chemical solutions as needed for clean upsUse wet floor signsSign sweep logs when necessaryMaintain accessibility for stock by removing unnecessary cardboard:Remove empty/nearly empty product boxes off shelves and condenses shelf stockBreak cardboard down and collects in binDispose of cardboard properlyPerform general facility sanitation and clean-up:Collect trash from inside and outside of the facilityTransport collected trash in bins to compactor and disposes of properlyEmpty recycle bins for proper disposal/handlingClean bathroomsVacuum rugsAssist in pan/dish room when necessaryPerform other duties as assigned or delegatedPhysical requirements:Frequent:Lifting/carrying to 50 lbs., pushing/pulling over 50 force lbs.Unloading bakery ingredients and suppliesWalking, reaching, standing, stooping/bending, squattingRepetitive motion: turning, bendingEquipment operation: scanner, scale, label machine, mixer, oven, bread slicer, scraper knives, baker rack, box cutter, pallet jack, pan washerMental:Judgment/decision making, social skills/verbal interaction, memorization, reading, writing, math, basic computer skillsEnvironmental:Extended exposure to varied temperatures and wet surfaces, working with hot greaseOccasional:Lifting/carrying over 50 lbs., equipment operation (calculator), climbing ladders, kneeling, crawlingAmericans with Disabilities Act (ADA): Jerry's Enterprises, Inc. will provide reasonable accommodations (such as a qualified sign language interpreter or other personal assistance) with the application process upon your request as required to comply with applicable laws.Equal Employment Opportunity (EEO): In accordance with all requirements of federal, state, and local law, Jerry's Enterprises, Inc. is an Equal Employment Opportunity employer.
