Part-Time Middle School Social Worker
Location: Wayne, Michigan Area
Position Type: Part-Time (3 Days per Week)
Start Date: ASAP
Schedule: 3 days per week (.6) can make own schedule but days need to be consistent each week. Please make sure anyone you send over
Position Overview
We are seeking a compassionate, collaborative, and student-centered School Social Worker to provide services to middle school students. This is an excellent opportunity for a professional seeking a flexible, part-time schedule while making a meaningful impact on students' academic, social, emotional, and behavioral success.
Responsibilities
Provide individual and small-group counseling and intervention services.
Collaborate with school staff, administrators, families, and outside providers to support student success.
Conduct social, emotional, and behavioral assessments as appropriate.
Participate in IEP, 504, and student support meetings.
Assist with crisis intervention and provide consultation to school personnel.
Maintain timely documentation in accordance with school, state, and federal guidelines.
Qualifications
Michigan certification as a School Social Worker and state LMSW, LLMSW, or LCSW
Experience working in a school setting preferred.
Strong communication, collaboration, and organizational skills.
Ability to work independently while contributing as part of a multidisciplinary team.
Schedule & Compensation
Part-time: 3 days per week
Flexible scheduling to accommodate mutual availability
Competitive hourly or daily rate, based on experience and credential - Range $40 - $60/hour
