Part-Time ScorekeeperPolar Ice Garner is seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Part-Time Scorekeeper to join our team. This role is crucial for ensuring the accurate and efficient recording of game statistics and managing game clocks for various ice hockey leagues, tournaments, and events held at our facility. Scorekeepers will be involved in internal programs including our adult and youth hockey leagues, as well as tournaments and special events hosted at the facility. If you have a passion for hockey and a keen eye for detail, we encourage you to apply!Responsibilities:Operate score clock accurately and efficiently during games.Record all official game statistics, including goals, assists and penalties.Maintain clear and precise records, ensuring all data is accurate and legible.Communicate effectively with referees, coaches, and league officials regarding game progress and statistics.Ensure strict adherence to league rules and regulations for scorekeeping.Assist with the preparation and submission of game reports as required.Arrive punctually for scheduled games and events, prepared to begin work on time.Provide excellent customer service to participants and spectators when interacting.Qualifications:Strong attention to detail and a high degree of accuracy are essential.Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and dynamic game environment.Basic understanding of ice hockey rules, terminology, and game flow.Reliable, punctual, and able to commit to a consistent schedule.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, as dictated by game schedules.Work Environment & Physical Demands:Ability to sit for extended periods while operating scorekeeping equipment.Expected 3-15 hours per weekExposure to cold temperatures common in an ice rink environment.Typical windows a part-time employee can expect to be scheduled:Monday through Thursday: Can begin as early as 7:00 p.m. and end as late as 12 a.m.Saturday and Sunday: Can begin as early as 6 a.m. and end as late as 12 a.m.We are an equal opportunity employer and all qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, color, religion, national origin, sex, sexual orientation, age, disability, gender identity, marital or veteran status, or any other protected class.
