Job description
Parks Department Operations
Responsibility to carry out day to day operations of the Parks Department including but not limited to park, pavilion, baseball field, and athletic complex maintenance.
Will be working with mow crew, paint crew, or baseball crew. Weed eating, edging, baseball field maintenance and prep, some carpenter and welding, irrigation installing and repair, pavilion cleaning, swimming pool maintenance, trash removal, painting and unexpected duties in the parks department.
Maximum of 30-40 hrs. weekly. Summer employment March 1 thru September 25.
Must possess a Class A, B or C driver's license with good driving record. Commercial license a plus.
Must be 18 yrs of age or older.
Foreign language a plus.
Must be able to take matters in their own hands and make the right decision for the situation according to the rules and safety guidelines.
Commercial Drivers license and any applicators license a plus.
Must be able to work outside all day in cold and heat. Ability to work weekends at times. Canyon residency will be a plus.
Must be willing to work with and under direction of park maintenance employees.
