nJOB SUMMARY:
Fortis Security Inc primary objective is prevention. While duties vary depending on the client, it is our focus to provide Professional Security Personnel that are certified and are courteous. It is key that our officers be professional in both appearance and presence. Having great customer service & de-escalation skills are a must with Fortis Security Inc. As an Fortis security agent, you will hold a high visibility presence and prevent all unlawful or inappropriate actions. The goal of a guard is to detect, deter, observe, and report while providing excellent customer service. Agents with this title are required to have a flexible schedule, have availability to fill-in, event assignments, temporary assignments, shifts and hours that last minute and be very dependable.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
nnnProtect the company's property and personnel with the aid of preserving a secure and safe environment
n
nnPreserves order to implement policies and directives for the site referring to personnel, site visitors, and premises
n
nnObserve alarm systems or video cameras and operate detecting/emergency equipment
n
nnInvestigate disturbances and detect for signs of crime or disorder
n
nnPursue lawfully in direct protection of life or property
n
nnApprehend criminals and evict violators
n
nnPatrol randomly and frequently of building and perimeter
n
nnMonitor and manage access at building entrances and vehicle gates
n
nnRecord accurate notes in detail of unusual occurrences or any suspicious incidents
n
nnProtect evidence or scene of an incident within the event of accidents, emergencies, or security investigations.

nnCarry out first aid or CPR if licensed
n
n nKNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS:

nREQUIREMENTS AND QUALIFICATIONS
nnnBe able to obtain guard card with registration requirements of NCGS 74C-11 and NCGS 74C-13
n
nnMinimum High School Diploma or GED
n
nnHave reliable transportation
n
nnPrior military, security, or customer service experience preferred
n
nnMust be at least 18 years of age
n
nnDe-escalation techniques and conflict resolution skills
n
n Completion of employment eligibility verification and background investigation forms are required upon hire.
