Part Time Security AgentFortis Security Inc primary objective is prevention. While duties vary depending on the client, it is our focus to provide Professional Security Personnel that are certified and are courteous. It is key that our officers be professional in both appearance and presence. Having great customer service & de-escalation skills are a must with Fortis Security Inc. As an Fortis security agent, you will hold a high visibility presence and prevent all unlawful or inappropriate actions. The goal of a guard is to detect, deter, observe, and report while providing excellent customer service. Agents with this title are required to have a flexible schedule, have availability to fill-in, event assignments, temporary assignments, shifts and hours that last minute and be very dependable.Essential Functions:Protect the company's property and personnel with the aid of preserving a secure and safe environmentPreserves order to implement policies and directives for the site referring to personnel, site visitors, and premisesObserve alarm systems or video cameras and operate detecting/emergency equipmentInvestigate disturbances and detect for signs of crime or disorderPursue lawfully in direct protection of life or propertyApprehend criminals and evict violatorsPatrol randomly and frequently of building and perimeterMonitor and manage access at building entrances and vehicle gatesRecord accurate notes in detail of unusual occurrences or any suspicious incidentsProtect evidence or scene of an incident within the event of accidents, emergencies, or security investigations.Carry out first aid or CPR if licensedKnowledge and Skills:Works ethically and with integrity to uphold organizational values and commitmentsKnowledge of public safety and security procedures and protocolsReacts well under pressure and approaches duties in a tactful manner while treating others with respect and considerationIdentifies and resolves issues promptly; develops alternative solutions with reasonAbility to outline issues, gather information, establish data, and draw valid conclusions.Ability to question issues in all useful areas and make sound business decisions based on facts.Possess effective written and oral communication and interpersonal skills with the potential to address all levels of personnel in a professional and effective mannerKnowledge of EEO Policy; promotes a harassment-free environment by showing respect and sensitivity for cultural differencesPhysical Demands:Work in various environments such as cold weather, rain, snow or heatOccasionally lift or move up to 40 poundsAbility to climb stairs, ramps, or ladders occasionally during a shiftFrequently required to stand or walk on various surfaces for long periodsIn compliance with federal, state, and local laws, all people employed will be required to verify identity and eligibility to work in the United States.Requirements and Qualifications:Be able to obtain guard card with registration requirements of NCGS 74C-11 and NCGS 74C-13Minimum High School Diploma or GEDHave reliable transportationPrior military, security, or customer service experience preferredMust be at least 18 years of ageDe-escalation techniques and conflict resolution skillsCompletion of employment eligibility verification and background investigation forms are required upon hire.
