Part-Time Security GuardShift: Ability to work 4pm-12:30am, 12am-8:30am plus backup daytime shiftsHours: 10 -20 hours a weekLocation: Owatonna, MNThis role is responsible for maintaining a safe and secure environment for all employees, vendors, and visitors on the company premises as well as overseeing and protecting company assets.Responsibilities:Monitor and secure entrance and exit points including dock areas using BMS systemEnsure all employees and visitors have proper credentials for accessing buildings (ID badges and passes)Inspect that all employees and visitors have proper, visible identification and that security policies are being enforcedMonitor CCTV video surveillance cameras for Eagan, Montreal, Corporate and all locations in OwatonnaAuthorize vendors and vehicles into the South Security entrance including precious metal deliveriesPatrol designated areas in accordance with outlined security proceduresIdentify potential security risks and respond accordinglyRespond to emergencies and incidents within designated areas promptly and according to policy including chemical alarmsWork weekend eveningsEscalate emergency situations to law enforcement as neededComplete incident reports and required documentation for all security incidentsAnswer incoming phone calls and use of a paging systemAssume overall responsibility for the safety and security of designated areasAssist employees and visitors with any concerns they might haveReport non-routine or suspicious activities to managementOperate X-ray, body imaging scanner and metal detecting equipmentReport and maintain all cameras are always in working conditionDaily security runs to Broadway location and post office (if at Southtown)Qualifications:1+ years' security-related work experienceHigh School Diploma or GEDMust be at least 18 years oldAbility to pass a background checkAbility to stay levelheaded and respond quickly in stressful situationsProficient written and oral communication skillsMust be available to work nights, weekends and holidaysComfortable kneeling, carrying, bending, walking, and standing for extended periods of timeAbility to perform continuous physical exertion as neededWorking knowledge of basic security techniquesFirst Aid TrainingMust be available to work overtime as requiredAbility to lift up to 50 lbs.Good communication and people skillsFirst Aid CertificationFormal post-secondary training in securityPay Transparency: The salary range is $17.00/hour to $18.00/hour.Application Deadline: October 30, 2026
