The Department of Chemistry and Chemical Biology at Rutgers University New Brunswick seeks part‑time instructors for Spring 2027 to teach recitations for General Chemistry, Organic Chemistry, and other undergraduate chemistry courses. The successful candidate will be expected to present course material during the assigned course times, hold office hours, proctor exams, grade exams and other applicable assignments such as homework. The successful candidate must be a team player who is willing to work toward the teaching goals set by the course instructors, the division coordinators, and the department.

$2,777 Per Credit Offer Information The final salary offer may be determined by several factors, including, but not limited to, the candidate’s qualifications, experience, and expertise, and availability of department or grant funds to support the position. Qualifications
Minimum Education and Experience
BS or BA in Chemistry or a related field required. Ph.D. in Chemistry preferred for selected courses. Demonstrated experience in teaching preferred.
