Teller PositionLocation: Various branches in Indianapolis areaFlexible part-time schedule depending on availabilityAs a Teller, you will serve as the primary point of contact for members at Indiana Members Credit Union, ensuring a positive and efficient banking experience. Your role is critical in processing a variety of financial transactions accurately and securely, including deposits, withdrawals, and payments. You will be responsible for maintaining the integrity of cash handling procedures and adhering to regulatory compliance standards. Additionally, you will identify member needs and provide information about the bank's products and services, contributing to customer satisfaction and retention. Your attention to detail and excellent communication skills will help foster trust and build lasting relationships with members.Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform these essential functions.Process various member transactions – deposits, withdrawals, loans and credit card cash advances, various types of loan & credit card payments, money orders, cashier checks, corporate checks, crossing selling other products, update members accounts, handle members problems & complaints, wire transfers, complete payroll deduction forms, direct deposits formsAccess safe deposit boxes when applicableHandle and maintain security of large amounts of cashCommunicate with all back-office departments for assistance and member requestsOpen and close various types of accounts, certificates, etc.Create/order ATM/Debit cards for membersProcess stop payments, print statements and histories for members.Remote Capture of checksBalance cash drawer dailyAssist with night deposits and ATM depositsOther duties in the branch may include counting cash delivery, balancing ATM, filing, keeping teller area and branch clean and organized, help with "end of day" duties, stocking lobby with suppliesFluent in the English languageBasic computer and technology skillsAttention to detail, maintain adaptability, flexibility and organizational skillsExcellent interpersonal and customer service skillsHonest, accountable, maintains confidentialitySkilled in use of core system, CRM and imaging once training is completed.NoneRetail branches in the Indianapolis and surrounding areasMay require standing or sitting for an extended period of timeExtended period of time viewing computer monitorHandling – ability to touch, feel, lift, operate and control equipment, tools and objects with the handsReachingCarrying, lifting up to 25 lbs.High school diploma, GED or equivalentPrevious cash handling and customer service experiencePlease note this job description is not designed to cover or contain a comprehensive listing of activities, duties or responsibilities that are required of the employee for this job.
