Part-Time Weekend ReceptionistBrook Hollow Golf Club - Dallas, TX 75235Part-time ReceptionistCompensation: Starting at $18 PER HOURReports to: Assistant Clubhouse ManagerEstablished in 1920, Brook Hollow Golf Club enjoys a strong reputation as one of Dallas' most historic and exclusive private clubs. World-class facilities including a fully renovated golf course that was completed in 2020, a sports complex for tennis, pickleball, wellness and swimming, and a famed ballroom. Brook Hollow has presented some of Dallas' most memorable and fashionable social events for our elite membership.We are a high-end service golf operation seeking a highly organized and personable individual to join our team as a full-time receptionist. The successful candidate will be the first point of contact for all members, guests and visitors. This individual will be responsible for managing the front desk while ensuring a professional and welcoming atmosphere. We are looking a person who can perform any combination of duties to support our high-profile membership, guests and personnel of the Club.Schedule:This is a part-time position with standard office hours of:Tuesday-Sunday from 9:00am to 7:00 pm (MUST have open availability)Will cover reception hours for vacation and sick days of other receptionist. Open availability includes weekends and holidays, on occasion, will assist with member and guest arrival for club functions.Job Responsibilities/Requirements:Greet and welcome all members, visitors, guests and staff in a professional and friendly mannerAnswer incoming calls and direct them to the appropriate department or individualManage the reception area, ensure it is clean and presentable at all timesManage incoming and outgoing mail and packagesMaintain accurate records and filesAssist with administrative tasks as neededMaintain online and phone reservations made through company reservation portalProvide schedule and other Club information to Members and guestsCollect, sort and distribute outgoing/incoming mail to include overnight mail servicesEdit and maintain distribution of daily lunch and dinner specials menusEdit special pricing or requested changes into databaseBe familiar with all house rules regarding reservationsEnsures that Switchboard is never left unattendedResponsible for reporting any phone operation problems to the EngineerAdditional duties assigned by a ManagerPerform other duties as required.Job Requirements:High school diploma or equivalent requiredMinimum of 1-2 years of experience in a receptionist or administrative roleExcellent verbal and written communication skillsProfessional demeanor and appearanceStrong organizational and time management skillsAbility to multitask and work in a fast-paced environmentHospitality, Food & Beverage & customer service experience is an assetSelf-motivatedIndependent thinker, able to handle high-stress situations in a professional mannerAble to work well with other departmentsExcellent phone skillsProficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, phone systems and other office equipmentAble to read, write and communicate in EnglishSelf-starter that requires no supervisionPhysical Requirements:Experience and knowledge of the golf industry preferredWhile performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally required to stand, walk, climb stairs, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl and/or sit up to 12 hours per day.Use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools and/or controls.Reach with hands and arms.Hearing and talking sufficient to communicate with members, guests, and co-workers.The receptionist will be required to stand and sit for extended periods of time and may occasionally be asked to lift and move boxes or packages.Benefits:Health, dental and vision InsurancePaid Time Off programEmployee Scholarship ProgramEducational opportunities401(K) with 3% company matchBackground check required.If you are a friendly, organized, and professional individual with a passion for customer service and administration, we encourage you to apply for this exciting opportunity!Nicotine-Free WorkplaceNo smoking and/or the use of nicotine in any form is not permitted anywhere on Club property, which includes all land, buildings, structures and parking lots owned by the Club.
