Part Time Weekend Sawyer I - Day ShiftPart Time Weekend Sawyer I - Day Shift (7:00am - 7:00pm Saturday & Sunday) - $19.00/hr. + $1.00/hr. Shift DifferentialWe are currently looking for a Part Time Weekend Sawyer I – Day Shift (7:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. Sat./Sun.) to be based out of Pueblo, Colorado. Reporting to the Shift Lead, the Sawyer I will be responsible for supporting the winder operator, quality, quantity, and accurate finishing of fiberglass conduit in various diameters while adhering all personal conduct based on Atkore ATIRE protocols.Sawyer I's responsibilities include, but are not limited to:Assist the winder operator to maximize winding equipment up timeReceives product from the extractor, cut ends per specificationsPrepare pipe samples for quality control testingPerform Final Inspection both dimensional and visual per standardsKeep accurate production and quality records including crating and labelingMaintain roving rack for continual winding operationAssist with changeovers with some assistanceAffix tri-seals, retainer rings, grind ends for spigots inspecting each piece with go/no go gaugesMaintain housekeeping in assigned areaPerform any other tasks appointed by the managementWhat you'll bring:Minimum educational requirement is a high school diploma or equivalentTwo years' previous shop experience is preferredExcellent interpersonal and communication skillsGood understanding of math skills required for quick and accurate counting, calculations and measurements including radius, inside and outside diameter, and lengthAttention to detail, accuracy, time management and organizationMust be adaptable to changes in the work environment, comfortable with multiple competing demands and able to deal with frequent change, delays, or unexpected events in a calm and logical mannerMust be able to work safely and efficiently in a fast-paced work environmentAble to lift 50 pounds unassistedAble to be medically cleared to wear respirator and other PPE required for the jobWithin 3 months, you'll:Know and follow plant safety rules and wear proper PPEZero safety incidents in past 90 days of evaluation dateLess than 15 attendance points on the date of evaluationNo documented warnings within 90 days of probationary periodAtkore is a five-time Great Place to Work© certified company and a three-time Top Workplaces USA award winner! Placement in the range depends on several factors including, but not limited to, specific competencies, relevant education, qualifications, certifications, relevant experience, skills, seniority, performance, shift, travel requirements, and business or organizational needs and may change over time.
