Lead affordable housing transactions involving 4% and 9% LIHTC allocations, tax-exempt bond financing, and multi-source capital structures from engagement through closing.
Take full ownership of client relationships and drive deal execution for both for-profit and nonprofit developers across all stages of the development process.
Draft, negotiate, and close limited partnership agreements, operating agreements, loan documents, and complex financing instruments spanning multiple regulatory regimes.
Navigate the intersection of Section 142 (tax-exempt private activity bonds) and Section 42 (LIHTC) to structure innovative transactions.
Supervise associates and paralegals, manage deal teams, and contribute to firm training and culture initiatives.
Collaborate with firm leadership to expand the firm's practice and client base nationally.

8 or more years of experience in affordable housing transactional work, with a strong focus on LIHTC deal structures at a law firm.
Demonstrated ability to independently manage LIHTC transactions from engagement through closing.
Deep knowledge of Section 42 (LIHTC) and its intersection with Section 142 (tax-exempt bonds).
Experience drafting and negotiating LPAs, operating agreements, and loan documents across multi-source financing closings.
Proven track record of direct client relationship management with developers.
Experience supervising associates, paralegals, or deal teams in a collaborative environment.
Active bar license in good standing; licensed in New York or willing to obtain New York licensure.
Experience representing developers in both 4% and 9% LIHTC transactions.
