What you'll do: Visit and contact independent coffee shops and roasters; pitch ideas like a donation day, custom drink, or coffee meetup; recruit "coffee crawl" hosts.

Ideal for: Coffee lovers who know the local scene and enjoy face-to-face conversation and someone who wants to make an impact, one coffee at a time!

About Do What You Love to End ALZ

Do What You Love to End ALZ (DWYL) invites people to raise funds for the Alzheimer's Association by doing something they already enjoy, whether that's a class, a hike, a game night, or a coffee meetup. Every activity becomes a way to fight a disease that touches more than 6 million Americans and their families.

What you'll do

Research and build a list of yoga, pilates studios, and fitness centers across Connecticut

Reach out to studio owners and instructors by email, phone, and in person

Explain how a studio can host a DWYL fundraiser (donation-based class, community flow, partner event)

Track outreach and follow-ups in a simple shared tracker

Support studios that sign up with toolkit materials and questions

What we're looking for

Friendly, confident communicator who's comfortable with cold outreach (we'll train you)

Connection to or interest in the wellness community, a plus but not required

Reliable, organized, and able to follow up

No experience with Alzheimer's or fundraising needed

What you'll gain:

Hands-on experience in community outreach, relationship-building, and fundraising

Resume-ready examples: partnerships secured, outreach volume, events supported
