Pastry Sous Chef
\ NKalahari Resorts & Conventions is seeking a Pastry Sous Chef to support the Executive Pastry Chef in leading daily pastry and bakery operations, ensuring the consistent production of high-quality desserts, pastries, breads, and baked goods for resort restaurants, banquets, and food & beverage outlets.
\ NAs part of our leadershipteam, you’ll embody our Promise to Lead with Love—guiding, supporting, and inspiring associates while delivering extraordinary guest experiences. You’ll join a talented, results-driven team focused on building strong customer relationships.

Salary Range - $60,000-$65,000/yr

KeyResponsibilities
\ N Lead daily pastryoperations and ensure high-quality, consistent production.
\ N Train, coach, and support pastry team members.
\ N Assist with scheduling,staffing, and production planning based on business needs.
\ N Maintain quality, presentation, food safety, and sanitation standards.
\ N Support inventory management, ordering, and cost control efforts.
\ N Assist with menu development, recipe testing, and special event production.
\ N Monitor labor and operational efficiency while supporting department goals.
\ N Help create an engaging, positive, and collaborative team environment.
\ N Ensure exceptional guest experiences through quality products and service.
\ N Maintain compliance with all health, safety, and company standards.
\ N \ NWhat We’re Looking For
\ N Experienced pastry professional with strong baking and dessert production skills.
\ N Proven leader who can train, motivate, and develop teams.
\ N Background in a high-volume hotel, resort, banquet, bakery, or restaurant environment.
\ N Creative, detail-oriented, and passionate about quality and presentation.
\ N Strong communicator with excellent organizational and problem-solving skills.
\ N Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and manage competing priorities.
\ N Knowledge of food safety, inventory management, and cost controls.
\ N Team-focused professional committed to operational excellence and guest satisfaction.
\ N Flexible and adaptable,including availability for weekends, holidays, and peak business periods.
