Job description
LHH Recruitment Solutions is partnering with a highly regarded patent counseling firm seeking a Patent Agent to join its growing practice. This is a 100% remote opportunity open to candidates nationwide.
Position Details
Location: 100% Remote – open to all U.S. time zones
Salary:
$120,000–$150,000+, depending on experience
Experience: 2–6 years of patent prosecution experience
Technical Background: Open to a variety of backgrounds, including Electrical Engineering, Computer Science/Software, Mechanical Engineering, Chemistry, and related disciplines
Responsibilities
Draft patent applications for filing with the USPTO
Prosecute U.S. patent applications and conduct Examiner interviews
Work directly with inventors and attorneys to develop and refine claim strategies
Independently manage a patent prosecution docket
Support clients ranging from start-ups to Fortune 500 companies
Assist with additional patent counseling matters, including freedom-to-operate analyses, patent landscapes, due diligence, and noninfringement/invalidity opinions
Qualifications
2–6 years of patent prosecution experience
USPTO registration
Relevant technical or scientific degree
Strong academic background;
3.0+ undergraduate GPA preferred
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Ability to independently manage multiple matters and deadlines
Strong client-service skills and a collaborative approach
