A law firm seeks a talented mid-level Patent Prosecution Associate with 2-5 years of relevant experience to join their Intellectual Property Practice Group in New York City, NY. The successful candidate will support Fortune 200 clients and more.
Duties
Draft and prosecute patent applications directed to advanced computing technologies.
Collaborate with inventors and in-house counsel to develop strategic intellectual property portfolios.
Analyze complex technologies and communicate findings effectively.
Manage multiple matters in a fast-paced environment under partner-level mentorship.
Requirements
J.D. from an accredited law school.
Admission to practice in the applicable jurisdiction.
At least 3 years of experience in patent prosecution, preferably involving AI and ML.
Strong technical experience in areas such as medical devices, semiconductors, or related technologies.
Education
Degree in Computer Engineering required.
Certifications
Registered to practice before the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO).
Skills
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Strong attention to detail.
Ability to manage multiple matters efficiently.
