$2,239–$2,439/week, based on experience
Local
$55–$60/hour, based on experience
Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced Pathologists’ Assistant to join an acute-care healthcare setting in Brooklyn, NY. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in specimen processing, grossing surgical specimens, and performing autopsies.
Key Responsibilities
Perform comprehensive specimen processing and examination.
Gross and prepare surgical pathology specimens for diagnostic evaluation.
Assist with and perform autopsy procedures as required.
Ensure proper identification, handling, documentation, and processing of specimens.
Follow established laboratory, safety, and quality-control procedures.
Collaborate with pathologists and laboratory staff to support accurate and timely diagnostic services.
Required Qualifications
Minimum 2 years of acute-care experience specifically as a Pathologists’ Assistant.
Experience grossing specimens and performing autopsies .
Valid New York State license and current registration to practice as a Pathologists’ Assistant, issued by the New York State Education Department (NYSED).
Interview Process
