Quick Facts
Monday - Friday, 8 am - 4:30/5 pm - call required
35 - 50 surgical cases per day
1 - 6 cytologies per day - FNAs, BALs, body fluids, sputums, brushings
No cytotechnologist on staff to screen
Digital pathology - surgical cases read on computer
Frozen sections required - pathologist must cut independently after 3 pm
Occasional frozen sections - bone marrows sent out, no paps
