Our network features over 590+ physicians and specialists providing high-quality care in more than 50 pediatric medical and surgical sub-specialties.Career growth and developmentTuition AssistanceDiverse and collaborative working environmentAffordable and comprehensive benefits packageWork Hours: Full Time/Day Shift- 8 am- 4:30 pm Monday-FridayWork Location: Johns Hopkins All Children's Hospital, St. Petersburg, FLPosition Summary:The Laboratory Anatomic Pathologists' Assistant (PA) assists professional and technical staff and the pathologists of the Anatomic Pathology section of the Department of Pathology and Laboratory Medicine.The PA accessions specimens for pathologist review ensuring quality is maintained, performs gross descriptions and photography for surgical and autopsy cases, performs assigned autopsies under the direction of the pathologist and provides recommendations to leadership about opportunities for improvement.Employees who are successful in the role possess high attention to detail and can be relied upon for dependable and consistent work output.Minimum Qualifications:Education:Bachelor's Degree with an emphasis in chemical or biological sciencesExperience:5 years' experience in an anatomic pathology work environmentCertification as a Pathologists' Assistant from the ASCP BORKnowledge of human anatomyFamiliarity with filing/indexing proceduresWorking knowledge of computers; able to access files and enter data***Authorization to Work in the United States:?Applicants who require sponsorship now or in the future will not be considered for this position.Salary Range: Minimum $44.86/hour - Maximum $71.77/hour. Compensation will be commensurate with equity and experience for roles of similar scope and responsibility.
