What You ll Do
Support the pathology department with surgical and cytology case analysis
Perform diagnostic evaluations for GI, fluids, lymphoma, GYN, breast, and lung tissues
Conduct FNA and frozen section procedures
Administer in-house immunohistochemistry testing
Collaborate with staff, assistants, and the pathology team
Support hospital pathology requirements with timely, accurate diagnoses
Utilize Cerner EMR and Voicebrook Dictation System for documentation
What You Need
Required
Board-Certified in Pathology (MD/DO) or eligible BE in Pathology
Valid PA State Medical License
1-2 years of pathology experience, fellowship training preferred
Strong diagnostic skills in surgical and cytology specimens
Preferred
Experience with GI, breast, lung, lymphoma, radiology, and endo FNA pathology
Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced hospital environment
About the Assignment
Join a busy hospital department with approximately 18,000 surgical cases and 4,000 cytology cases annually. This role offers a unique chance to work in a collaborative setting supporting adult pathology services. The facility features 272 beds and uses Cerner EMR, with immunohistochemistry performed in-house. This contract position begins on November 16, 2026, and extends through mid-February 2027, with potential for extension.
