Overview
The Department of Pathology at Montefiore Medical Center is one of the largest and most comprehensive medical center laboratories on the East Coast. We are seeking an applicant for a full-time Academic Surgical Pathology position in Renal Pathology at the level of Assistant or Associate Professor to join a staff of 25 surgical pathologists. Responsibilities
Work closely on clinical and research activities with adult, pediatric and transplant nephrology services.
Shared sign out of approximately 600 renal biopsies (native and transplant).
Shared sign out of surgical pathology specimens in another subspecialty as appropriate.
Autopsies, resident training, medical student teaching, and participation in translational or clinical research.
Requirements
Subspecialty fellowship training and/or extensive experience (5+ years) in renal pathology with evidence of scholarly activity.
Other subspecialty or general surgical pathology training or experience is also desirable.
