Admitting Department PositionHas in-depth knowledge in all the functions of the Admitting Department. Must have excellent communication skills, including the ability to speak, read and write English proficiently. Must be comfortable with computers and medical terminology. In-depth knowledge of all insurance types, including government health programs, regulatory requirements, ability to calculate patient financial responsibility, and ability to speak with patients about their financial liability. Ability to take after hours and weekend call on a rotating basis.Minimum Education: High School graduate or equivalent evidence in file requiredMinimum Experience/Knowledge: Three years of hospital experience or in a related fieldRequired License/Certification: AB 508 Certification.
