Within this role you will retrieve and send medical records needed for clinic visits and outgoing referrals. Process incoming referrals. Upload medical records. Obtaining prior authorizations when needed. Charge capture for outpatient appointments. Administrative/scheduling coordinators for 8 physicians assuring patients are getting set up in a timely manner to receive appropriate care. Patient facing and receiving calls on multiple phone lines. Functions within Patient Access in the Ambulatory Department at MUSC.Additional Job DescriptionHigh school diploma or equivalent (GED), with 1 year of customer service experience. Ability to interpret and apply financial procedures and regulations preferred.
