Job TitleResponsible for timely and accurate patient registration.Job DescriptionLocated in the metropolitan area of Sacramento, the Adventist Health corporate headquarters have been based in Roseville, California, for more than 40 years. Verify all insurance and calculates and collects patient liability amounts. Ensure that all necessary signatures are obtained for treatment. Answer any questions and explain policies clearly. Check for physician orders and attaches them to appropriate patient record to ensure correct test is received. Print and collate any paperwork needed for each patient to for distribution to unit/department. Escorts patients to his/her area or refers patient to available escort as needed.Job RequirementsEducation and Work Experience:High School Education/GED or equivalent: PreferredAssociate's/Technical Degree or equivalent combination of education/related experience: PreferredEssential FunctionsCheck for physician orders and attaches them to patient medical record to ensure that patients are receiving appropriate tests.Choose correct health plan and accurately and research to ensure accuracy when verifying insurance. Enter all authorization information accurately as needed.Follows guidelines and instructions from senior staff.Performs other job-related duties as assigned.Performs other job-related duties as assigned.Work LocationRemote work option available upon successfully meeting productivity targetsOrganizational RequirementsAdventist Health is committed to the safety and wellbeing of our associates and patients.
