Patient Accounts RepresentativeThe Patient Accounts Representative is responsible for managing patient billing accounts from admission through final resolution. This role ensures accurate billing, timely follow-up with insurance companies and patients, and excellent customer service while maintaining compliance with hospital policies, payer guidelines, and regulatory requirements.QualificationsEducation:High School Diploma or GED requiredAssociate degree or coursework in healthcare administration, business, or a related field preferredExperience:Minimum of 1–2 years of experience in hospital billing, patient accounts, or revenue cycle preferredExperience with commercial insurance, Medicare, and Medicaid strongly preferredKnowledge, Skills, and AbilitiesKnowledge of hospital billing processes and revenue cycle operationsFamiliarity with insurance guidelines, claim forms, and denial managementStrong analytical and problem-solving skillsExcellent communication and customer service skillsHigh attention to detail and accuracyAbility to prioritize tasks and manage multiple accounts efficientlyProficiency with hospital billing systems and Microsoft Office applicationsAbility to work independently and as part of a teamKnowledge of HIPAA and EMTALA guidelinesBilingual (English/Spanish) preferred, if applicablePhysical RequirementsAbility to sit for extended periodsAbility to use a computer, telephone, and standard office equipmentOccasional standing or walking as neededWork Schedule:Monday - Friday 8:30 AM - 5:00 PM
