Location: MetroHealth Main Campus- Glick
Bi-weekly Hours: 72hrs
Shift: Nights

All Acute Care Adult Specialty units offer enhanced technology to assist with nursing care, including patient lifts, hands-free communication, virtual whiteboards, and telemetry monitoring capability.

Primary Patient Population:
Inpatient Oncology
Cross-trained for Bone Marrow Transplant (BMT)
Primary skills utilized/learned: ADL's
Vital Signs and bladder scans
Hospice and palliative care
Time management, critical thinking, delegating
Personnel PCNA's will work with: LPNs, Registered Nurses, Nurse Interns, Providers
Number of beds on unit: 30 beds
Awards or Recognitions the unit has received: Nurses' Week Interprofessional Collaboration Award Winners!!!!

Required Qualifications: High School Diploma or passage of a high school equivalency exam.
Ability to work in a team environment while demonstrating good judgment, flexibility, initiative, and effectively problem-solving skills.
Current AHA Basic Life Support for the healthcare provider certification or obtained within 90 days of hire.
Preferred Qualifications: Registered in good standing as a State Tested Nursing Assistant (STNA) with the Ohio Department of Health (ODH) Nurse Aide Registry (NOTE: Maintaining ODH Registry status as a STNA is optional after employment in this position).
1 year of experience as a Patient Care Nurse Assistant in a hospital.
