Job Opportunity At Texoma Medical CenterTexoma Medical Center, a 414-bed acute care facility has been providing quality health care to the residents of North Texas and Southern Oklahoma since 1965. Our main campus is located in Denison, Texas, approximately one hour north of the Dallas/Fort Worth area and just south of the Texas/Oklahoma border. Advanced resources such as certified trauma care support TMC's role as a regional specialty center.POSITION SUMMARY: Works under the direction of a licensed nurse to assist in meeting the physical and psychosocial needs of patients in a professional and timely manner. Performs various tasks as competency documentation designates. Position provides direct care with limited invasives procedures. Other duties as assignedQualificationsReading and numerical competencyMust possess competency in use of technology and computersPrevious care giving experience preferredMust have the ability to demonstrate basic care giving skills and essential job functionsBLS (Basic Life Support) Healthcare Provider course according to RQI program guidelines and all required Emergency Cardiovascular Care (ECC) Healthcare Provider courses will be provided during new hire orientation or upon transfer, and must be completed prior to working in a clinical settingMust successfully complete "Handle with Care" within 6 months of hire/transfer, and annually thereafterMust have effective communication and time management skillsMust be able to demonstrate the knowledge and skills necessary to provide care/service appropriate to the age of the patients served on the assigned unit/department and reports patient welfare, safety and security to RNEEO Statement All UHS subsidiaries are committed to providing an environment of mutual respect where equal employment opportunities are available to all applicants and teammates.
