nPosition Purpose:
nThe PCT, under the direction of a registered nurse, is responsible for direct patient care considering age specific, developmental, cultural and spiritual needs. They assist in establishing and maintaining a patient care environment that is clean, safe and conducive to patient/family wellbeing including concepts of relationship-based care.
nShifts Available: 6:30 am-3:00pm; 2:30pm-11:00pm, 10:30pm-7:00am
nStatus Available: Full-time, Part-time
nEvery Other Weekend and Holiday per year required for Full-time and Part-time team members.
nREQUIRED EDUCATION / LICENSURE
nnnHigh school diploma or GED
n
nnMinimum of one year of previous direct care experience (acute or long term) or successful completion of CENA, PCT, MA, or EMT course.
n
nnStudent nurses must have completed their nursing fundamentals class of a BSN program.
n
n nWhat you will do:
nnnTraining is provided to prepare our colleagues for success.
n
nnThe PCT assists patient in completing ADLs including: Bathing, showering, toileting, positioning, turning, transferring, ambulation using assistive devices and with feeding and menu selection.
n
nnA PCT will collects and send specimens including blood and blood cultures and inserts and removes peripheral IV catheters. They are responsible to record patient information and required data in appropriate areas in order to meet documentation requirements.
n
nnIn-patient, 32 bed unit for adults and pediatrics ranging from 2 days old to 18 years of age. With a special focus on pain management, mobility, patient teaching
n
nnTreatment Team consists of RNs, Patient Care Techs, Patient Care Assistants, Unit Clerks, Nurse Coordinator, Respiratory Therapists, Social Workers, Case Nurses, and Dieticians.
n
nnSpecializing in adult Gynecology, Gyn-Oncology Breast, Plastic Surgery, ENT, Urology and other Medical /Surgical patients. Also, specializing in a variety of medical and surgical pediatric patients.
